Hi Craig,

Yes, absolutely! You should count the UAT time as well as it is part of your delivery workflow. Then, you can communicate what % it represents from your overall delivery times and emphasize the impact it has on your performance.

I’m wondering if UAT should be included in Cycle time calculation. The team already has work tested by BA’s or PO’s in the team but currently they can wait for days or even weeks sometimes for business to test in UAT. The team’s cycle time currently includes the UAT period eventhough despite following up with the Business, there is little they can do to influence the turnaround time on items getting reviewed in UAT by the Business. Thanks!
